Sweet, creamy, and so simple, try this ricotta cheese spread over toasty sourdough bread and topped with a drizzle of honey, sprinkle of pistachios and plenty of juicy fresh berries!

Ingredients

whole grain or sourdough bread
toasted
¼
cup
ricotta cheese
whole milk for creaminess or part-skim for a lighter option

teaspoons
honey
drizzled
½
teaspoon
cinnamon
Optional: 1 tablespoon chopped nuts
almonds, walnuts, or pistachios, optional
Optional: fresh fruit
sliced figs, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, or blueberries
Instructions
Toast the bread to your preferred crispiness.
Spread ricotta evenly over the toast.
Drizzle with honey and sprinkle with cinnamon.
Optional toppings – Add chopped nuts for crunch or fresh fruit for extra flavor and nutrients.

Serve with a hard boiled egg + turkey sausage for a high protein, balanced breakfast
