One of the biggest changes I experienced when I started eating a plant based diet was how hungry I got between meals. Meat and dairy are heavy foods, taking a long time to digest and process. Going from meal to meal without being hungry was the norm.
Plant based eating, on the other hand, is eating filling meals that are easily processed and digested. This leaves your body ready for the next meal or snack only a few hours later. Snacks are essential to keep the hanger away and let's be real, snacks are delicious.
Prior to my plant based days, I would grab some sort of dairy or eggs for most of my snacks. Cheese sticks, yogurt, hard boiled egg were always on hand. It took a bit of a learning curve (and a few hungry days) to figure out what a good plant based snack could be. If you're in that same boat, I've got you covered.
